A New Perspective
The air the next evening was surely crisp as Juniper stepped out of the bullet and onto the platform to her building. The city almost birthed itself around her as she emerged from the second level. From her vantage point within the elevated glass tunnel, she observed the network of skywalks gracefully connecting buildings high above the bustling streets.. aerial linkages knitting lives across the skyline.
She pulled her warm garment tighter around her shoulders, the peachskin finished fabric a comforting embrace against the cool breeze. As she approached the familiar façade, Juniper couldn’t help but feel a rustle of nerves. It had been a while since she’d opened up to anyone about the turmoil in her life, but Alisha was different. She was the one person Juniper knew she could trust implicitly.
The elevator ride to the middle floors was swift, the crystal walls offering a fractalized panoramic view of the eastern cityscape. Within the illuminated fissure that stretched across the city, the modular bullets emerged gracefully from the subterranean veranda, their exteriors bathed in the nurturing glow of the farms below as they brought patrons seamlessly back to the surface.
The stacked terraces almost unfolded before her, the energy held below, unseen to most radiating its light back to the surface, bringing light to the nearby express.
