“You know, you’re going to get chocolate all over my car,” Juniper teased, glancing over at him with a mock stern expression.
Jacob grinned unapologetically, wiping at his face with the back of his hand. “I didn’t think you could see it on this side of my face.”
She laughed, reaching over to give his shoulder a gentle push. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“And tall,” Jacob added, sitting up straighter in his seat, a proud smile on his face.
Juniper raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips. “Oh, is that so? You think you’re going to be taller than me someday?”
Jacob nodded eagerly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Yup! Mom says I’m growing like a weed. Soon, you’ll have to look up to me, Aunt Juni!”
