Juniper straightened, a newfound determination in her eyes. “Maybe I just needed to hear this from someone else. You always give it to me how I need it… the truth.”

“That’s what I’m here for,” Alisha smiled. “You told me that one story about the hidden king back in school, Juni. That’s you, don’t forget.”

Juniper looked down, a small smile forming. “I’d almost forgotten that story.”
