The street had been completely shut down, the usual flow of bullets and traffic replaced by a sea of humanity that stretched as far as they could see. From their elevated position, they could make out the crowds flowing into Helix Park, where holiday vendors had transformed their stands into impromptu celebration stations.

“Oh my,” Juniper breathed, her grip tightening on Daniel’s arm. The scene before them triumphed any Govners inauguration, a spontaneous outpouring of joy and vindication that seemed to make the very air vibrate.
