“The holiday decorations are really something this year,” Daniel commented, returning with the brief. “The lobby looks like something out of winter wonderland on channel 5.”

“The maintenance team outdid themselves,” Sophia agreed, deliberately turning her attention to her tablet as she gathered her materials. “Though I should probably review these exhibits over at the screens. Better resolution for the fine print.”

She made her way to the workstation by the window, giving them space without making it obvious - just as she always did when these moments arose. She had learned early on that some connections needed room to breathe, like delicate plants reaching toward sunlight. Besides, the exhibits really did need reviewing, even if that wasn’t her only motivation for relocating.
