Now alone in the classroom, Daniel reached into his bag and pulled out a small container, a boyish grin spreading across his face as he held it out to her.
“I picked these up from the cafeteria earlier,” he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “They only make them out here, and I figured you might like one too.”
Juniper took the container, her eyebrows raising in surprise as she saw the contents. “Cinnamon crawlers? I’ve never had these before. I can’t eat something like that.”
