As they settled into their booth, Sophia decided to change the subject. “How’s your meal?”

Juniper looked up from her plate. “Very good. And yours?”

“Good as well,” Sophia replied, nodding.

Juniper eyed the remnants of Sophia’s meal. “Are you going to eat the rest of that?”

Sophia pushed her plate towards Juniper. “Nope. Here you go.”

A smile tugged at Juniper’s lips as she accepted the offering. “You may have a read on me. I might actually be stressed, so I need the cholesterol.”

Sophia drew in a small, amused breath, a grin spreading across her face. “Cholesterol, Juniper? I knew you were something else when I took you to the gym the other day.”

Juniper sat up straight, her head poised in a cute, comedic manner. “Yup, I need the cholesterol. That’s how I maintain this figure, you know.”

Sophia’s eyes darted around, eager to respond. “Yeah, you show up there and you wanna rack pull. I’m like, ‘Hun, who are you? I do Pilates.’”
