She pulled out her tab, the glow illuminating her features as she scrolled through a barrage of mail. Work was relentless, a never-ending tide that threatened to consume her, but it filled the void, at least temporarily.
A message from Sofia popped up: “Hey, everyone wants tomorrow at 9. They are trying to dismiss on failure to state a claim.”
Juniper typed a quick reply: “See you then.” She hesitated for a moment before closing the tab, the screen fading to black.
