The gallery stirred. Even Roma stilled, though Juniper caught it… his eyes alluding to foreseeable mischief, those semi-blatant agendas he’d deploy when the moment was right. But Sophia wasn’t done… her finger already hovering over the remote, their next tactical placement queued and waiting. The state could feel the indictment building.

But Roma, ever the skilled tactician, zeroed in on Roberts’ motivations during cross-examination. He implied that she was a disgruntled former employee, her testimony tainted by bias. The jury shifted in their seats, some frowning at the aggressive line of questioning.

When Roma suggested that Roberts herself would be among the affected if she hadn’t moved to the private sector, Daniel was on his feet, his objection ringing out across the courtroom. Judge Donahue sustained the objection, admonishing Roma to proceed appropriately.

As the trial wore on, the jury became increasingly engaged. The courtroom pulsed with a different energy now… the defense visibly recalibrating, their objections landing a half-beat too late.

Through it all, Juniper and Daniel remained focused, their questions precise and their objections timely. They worked seamlessly as a team, anticipating each other’s moves and adapting to Roma’s shifting tactics.
